Chris Dakin: Principal Dentist

Chris qualified from the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2002 and gained his MFGDP(UK) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2005.

Following qualification, he worked in a variety of practices across the Midlands (including a renowned specialist referral practice), where he developed a particular interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He is also passionate about digital dentistry, occlusion, endodontics, and the management of temporomandibular disorders (TMD).

In 2021, Chris relocated to the Wirral with his young family. Although owning a practice wasn’t originally part of the plan, the opportunity arose — and it felt like the right time to take on a new challenge. He now combines clinical care with the responsibility of practice ownership, bringing his commitment to high-quality, patient-centred dentistry to every aspect of the practice.

Chris has completed extensive postgraduate training, including both the core and advanced curricula at the Dawson Academy — an internationally recognised centre for excellence in occlusion and comprehensive care. He is also a former clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry and has lectured widely across the UK on occlusion and functional dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Chris enjoys running, taking part in and watching a variety of sports, spending time with his family, and getting out and about with the family dog, Honey.

Miles Grout: Implant Dentist

Miles brings over 15 years of experience in implant dentistry. He has a particular interest in delivering life-changing treatments in a calm, empathetic manner. His work is grounded in clinical precision, long-term outcomes, and a deep commitment to patient wellbeing.

Originally from Wales and raised in a medical family, Miles has always been drawn to healthcare and community-focused care. He qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2001, having set his sights early on a career that would allow him to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Following graduation, he undertook extensive postgraduate training, including a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital (2004–2006), a Certificate in Sedation and Pain Management (2007), and an MSc in Implantology and Oral Surgery at the University of Sheffield. He is currently furthering his expertise in advanced bone grafting at the University of Salford.

Miles has worked in both general and specialist practices always prioritising comfort, trust, and long-lasting results. His broad clinical background enables him to offer comprehensive care — from single-tooth replacements to full-mouth rehabilitation.

Outside of dentistry, Miles enjoys an active lifestyle. He runs, cycles, climbs, and has even taken part in the occasional triathlon — all balanced alongside a busy family life with his wife, a physiotherapist, their three children, and a lively menagerie of pets.

Megan Herrick: Dental Nurse

Megan qualified as a dental nurse in 2017 and moved to the Wirral from Leicester in 2021. She brings a wealth of experience to the team, along with a calm, reassuring approach that helps patients feel at ease. Her warm personality and strong clinical skills make her an asset to the practice.

She has completed her dental radiography qualification and supports with imaging when needed as part of her wider clinical role.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time outdoors, getting creative with crafts, and making memories with her family and friends. Her attention to detail and positive attitude shine through in everything she does.
